The body has begun absorbing a heat that has not yet reached its peak. The patient who feels this first will be the one whose yin runs thin to begin with. Afternoon fatigue. Restless sleep. A thirst that water does not quite settle. The early signal often shows up in the tongue color before any complaint surfaces.
