TAXATION AND EXHAUSTION

Taxation refers to the daily overexertion, prolonged stress, or bad habits that drain your vital energy, exhaustion happens when this taxation depletes your body's reserves.

Enduring vacuity without recovery is called detriment, and extreme detriment without recovery is called taxation.

These three—vacuity, taxation, and detriment—occur in succession. In reference to the causes, there is not only one origin; even after it comes about, in most cases, the cause is vexation and taxation damaging qì.

Tiredness includes lack of physical and mental energy, poor motivation, excessive sleepiness, exhaustion, listlessness, feeling flat or a devastating inability to perform even the simplest of tasks.

In western medicine tiredness is often difficult to diagnose. Unless there is an underlying disease such as Fibromyalgia, Depression, underactive thyroid gland or low iron levels. Tiredness is often diagnosed as a Mood Disorder or as a psychological consequence.

In TCM, there are two main causes of tiredness: Either a person has a “deficiency condition” eg, Qi or Blood deficiency, or an “excess condition”. This “excess” may be due to an external pathogen (e.g. virus or a climatic factor such as “external dampness”) In practice, it’s usually a combination of both deficiency and excess.

Overwork, or working excessive hours, may deplete our fundamental energy. Poor diet, medication, poor sleep patterns and constitutional factors will all add to underling triggers.

If you're experiencing persistent exhaustion that doesn't respond to conventional approaches, consider scheduling an appointment to determine your specific pattern and develop a targeted treatment protocol.

What is hair regrowth micro-needling?

What is Hair Regrowth Microneedling?

Microneedling is a powerful tool for promoting hair regrowth. By creating micro-injuries in the scalp, microneedling stimulates blood flow and nutrient delivery to the hair follicles, leading to increased hair growth and thickness over time.

Whether you're struggling with thinning hair, receding hairlines, or bald patches, micro needling is a safe, effective, and natural solution to rejuvenate your hair. It's best suited for individuals experiencing hair thinning or loss due to aging, genetics, or other factors.

What is cosmetic acupuncture vs. Microneedling?

What is Cosmetic Acupuncture vs Microneedling?

Cosmetic Acupuncture - also known as facial acupuncture or facial rejuvenation acupuncture - is a holistic, non-invasive treatment that uses ultra-fine needles on the face and body. This process stimulates collagen production, enhances circulation, and helps lift and tone facial muscles, resulting in improved skin tone, texture, and elasticity. Cosmetic acupuncture addresses skin health from the inside out, offering a natural anti-aging alternative to injectables by supporting both facial appearance and overall wellness.

Microneedling - also called collagen induction therapy - is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure designed to rejuvenate the skin and reduce visible signs of aging. Using a specialized device with fine needles, microneedling creates controlled micro-injuries in the skin, which trigger the body's natural healing response. This boosts collagen and elastin production, helping to smooth fine lines and wrinkles, minimize acne scars, age spots, enlarged pores, stretch marks, and improve overall skin texture and firmness.

Both cosmetic acupuncture and microneedling are natural, non-surgical treatments that promote youthful, healthy skin. However, microneedling is especially effective for improving skin texture, superficial wrinkles, and scarring, while cosmetic acupuncture is ideal for enhancing muscle tone, addressing deeper wrinkles, and supporting holistic skin health.

“The acupuncture treatments have helped me begin to manage my chronic pain and stress levels. I highly recommend her services.”
